10 - NEW EVENT FOR 2001!  NIMAGA will have a  Member-Guest event on Monday,  May 7th at the    Eaglebrook Country Club in Geneva.        Eaglebrook is a private country club only open for limited outside play on Mondays.  We are actively seeking new members for 2001!  This is  a event that your guests can attend and learn about NIMAGA.  We hope to sign up a few new members at this tournament.  It’s a limited field so be sure to sign up ASAP next year!

11 - In our ongoing effort to obtain new members, NIMAGA will be more aggressive to try to get our name out to the Chicagoland Market.  We continue to need your help to let others know that    we provide a schedule of tournaments for  Chicagoland Public Fee Golfers.

12 - NIMAGA will participate in the 18th Annual Chicago Golf Show at the Rosemont Convention Center on February 2,3 and 4th 2001.  Anyone   who would like to volunteer to “man” the booth should contact Roger Scott at #630-483-4320. Illinois PGA will participate  in the Chicago  Golf Show as the Arlington Heights/Navy Pier Shows will not take place this year.  The   Chicago Golf Show should be larger and better attended then ever. Mark you calendar now to visit the show and NIMAGA at Booth #421.

13 – NIMAGA’s Mid-Week Tournament will be held  at  the Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont.  It will be a 8:00 a.m. shotgun start event at a cost   of $95.00 per player.  Ruffled Feathers is a Semi Private Course with a $125.00 normal green fee.  The date to set for your calendar  next year is  Monday, July 23rd

TOURNAMENT OF WINNERS 2000

The challenging Golf Club of Illinois was the site for this year’s annual event.  The first day was cool and windy, however, the real challenge was the greens as a recent airation and oversanding made for difficulty on all putts especially the two footers.  Day two saw similar conditions, but some of NIMAGA’s finest golfers were able to overcome these challenges.

Low Gross was won by Reggie Huff– 152

Low Net was won by Scott Windisch, 174 Gross,                                                             140  Net

2nd Doug Peters, 171 Gross, 141 Net

3rd Steve Brown, 168 Gross, 142 Net

4th Kim Lahti, 158 Gross, 144 Net

5th* Craig Youngquist, 166 Gross, 148 Net

(*won a three hole playoff with Pete Vercillo).
